really wanna know how to use the clutched motorbike…please..

I’m 16 years old, 5′ 10″ and weigh 170 pounds and i was thinking to buy a YAMAHA YZF 600R for my first bike… I HAVE TAKEN THE SAFETY COURSE…i have rode mopeds when i was 12 years old…after taking the safety class i seem pretty confident is riding…i’m going on vacation to india next week for 5 weeks where i will be driving scooters and motorcycles A LOT..from what i have read, this bike is a good beginner bike because it isn’t as powerful as the R6 and is more comfortable and forgiving…it is also pretty cheap..a year 2003 you can get for under $3000…if anyone has this bike or knows some pros or cons about it i would like to hear about them…is this a good beginner bike? i really dont want to start on a 250 or 500 ninja because i know i will grow out of it within a week…i wont try to do stupid wheelies and crap like that…i’ve seen some accidents and it isn’t pretty…i want this bike to go to work and school and just to ride around town with my friends with…thanks!!!

Hi guys, My first question is, like recalls on cars where the manufacturer contacts owners of certain models that have to be recalled to have certain safety mods done.
Is there a similar recall system running for motorcycles/ hairdryer like my sons.
second question concerns same hairdryer,centre stand spring lug snapped off engine/casing, does anyone know if this is a common fault and if yamaha has recalled neos’s with that prob.

Unfortunately, nether Haynes or Clymer produce manuals for the XV-125 (although Haynes is considering doing so).
This means you will have to try and track down a genuine Yamaha workshop manual. But I’m afraid they are rare and expensive, if you can find one on the open market.

most bike dealers can get haynes workshop manuals, failing that, your local halfords can order them in. haynes are pretty comprehensive and clearly set out, even to the stage of complete engine strip and re builds.

i can’t afford a car and i want to of stopped using the bus with the next wight months. buses are unreliable in my town and i can’t risk being late for work bcoz of a late or brokendown bus. this has happened in the past and i’ve been sacked cos of it
