Are There Any Places To Use A Motorbike Off Road In Cheshire?
There is a couple I’m sure.
Best advice is to pop over to the Yellow Pages website ( yell.com ) and do a search for Off road centres / motocross tracks.
The most important bit to add is your postcode or you will get results from all over the UK !
Hope this helps, Good luck.
What Can The Authorities In Vietnam Do To Stop The Carnage On The Road?
I travel the National Highway by motorbike most days and can tell you with absolute certainty that it is getting out of hand. The biggest culprits are the bus drivers. Collectively they are as dangerous as any terrorist group anywhere. The police seem to have been completely overwhelmed by the situation and are not trained or equipped to deal with it. I see things each day that beggar belief. On several occasions I’ve come around corners to see 3 lanes of speeding buses and trucks coming straight at me. These cowboys don’t care less. You get out of their way or you die. They race each other up hill, down dale, around corners, through built up areas and amongst school kids on their way to and from school. In my area the majority of road users are forced to travel on the apron which can be 0-6 feet wide. You share the apron with rice growers who spread tons of rice out for drying either side of the road this time of year, herders of buffalo, cattle, sheep, goats and ducks. Oxen drawn carts, various small vehicles, tractors, motorcycles, battery powered bicycles and bicycles. Throw into this mix school children riding 2-5 abreast and that is pretty much what you have to negotiate. Then there’s the bottle necks. The police in my area stop trucks and buses some days for a bit of revenue collecting but that’s about it. Drivers north and south know within minutes where they are and will take evasive action if required. All traffic will slow down to pass them then its like someone drops a flag somewhere and the demolition derby begins again. I’ve come to the conclusion that most problems begin at school age. The kids show no respect for the road or other road users and seem to have little or no idea about road safety issues. This they take into adulthood. And there seems to be a belief in this country that to give way is to lose face. I don’t know what the answer is. Any thoughts?
Road Tripping Around Costa Rica?
Hi,
I’m planning on visiting Costa Rica in January, and I want to see as many places and do as many things as possible in about a week, so I guess I want to rent a vehicle and just road-trip around the country. I’m pretty adventurous, self reliant and able to handle myself in situations. I don’t take foolish chances, and If I get a bad feeling about something, I’m extra careful. I do a lot of adventure motorcycling in the US and Canada, so I like to just go with the wind and see the “real life” in places I go and stay. I want to do some surfing and some partying. I’d like to also see some of the natural wonders of CR. I guess my question is because this is the first time I’ve been to central America, and I want to just go on my own with a friend and stay in different places every night. I do have some safety concerns though, and I was wondering if anyone else has done this before? Also any tips on where to get a good vehicle? I also want to get out of San Jose’ when I land.
Thanks
Is It Possible To Make A Honda Big Red 2009 Road Legal?
Okay so I’m sitting around and I see an ATV go down the road. And I think… hm, it is probably not legal but can I make one legal?
So for all intents and purposes I took the Honda Big Red Side-by-Side UTV “MUV” for my little experiment.
It’s actually bigger than the car I drive now, “wow, right?” and although it cannot reach 65 mph, I have read that it has gone 54 mph, which is alright if I do not use the highways as most road are 25, 35, 45 or 55 where I would be driving it. ![]()
Alright so then I went and I found my copy of the Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws (other copies could be found online), and I read about registering your vehicle and what they check for.
I’ve seen pictures of Road-legal ATVS registered in California as Motorcycles after being converted to a three-wheeler. And my first approach was to see what I could do about adjusting the Big Red to a three-wheeler, and I decided that because it is so much like a car (and would cost about the same as a car after the process was completed) I figured leave it with four wheels.
Now specifics are best left up to the book. But I have gone through and picked what would need to be present when it is checked and registered.
My list contains:
Minimum 1/16 inch treaded tires “road legal”
Primary Brake
Emergency Brake
Two Headlights
One Taillight visible 500ft away
Two Taillights visible 500ft away when brakes are applied
Illuminated Rear Registration plate
Two red reflectors (separate or apart of taillights)
Turn signals visible 300ft in normal sunlight
Safety Glass
Exhaust Pipe
Equipped with standard muffler
Rearview mirror
Windshield Wipers
Windshield Washer
Horn capable of being heard at least 200 ft
Safety Belts
Windshield
Side windows
E-Checkable Engine (Ohio Emission’s test)
Speedometer
Now if I found a way to add all these items to the Big Red, would I be allowed to register it as a car?
I understand that it is easier and almost exactly the same price as buying a small truck but I just want to know if it is possible.
Could they deny me the plates based on the fact it WAS an off-road vehicle, or would they give me them seeing as it lives up to everything a car would?
How Do You Feel When Illegal Aliens Treat Americans Like “road Kill”?

JANESVILLE — Bradley Griffith wore a helmet and neon orange vest as he drove his motorcycle April 11.
But he had the misfortune of being on the same road at the same time as Omar Miguel Lopez, who was speeding at 50 mph on Mt. Zion Avenue and ignored a red light before colliding with Griffith at Pontiac Drive.
That’s how Assistant District Attorney Katharine Buker described the reckless actions of Lopez at his sentencing hearing Wednesday in Rock County Court.
Several people were in the area when the crash happened at about 4 p.m., and they could tell Griffith was seriously injured, likely fatally, she said.
“Mr. Lopez, who was the person who caused those injuries, didn’t stay to help. He left,” she said.
Judge Richard Werner sentenced Lopez, 24, of 2323 Mt. Zion Ave., Janesville, to five years in prison and five years on extended supervision and ordered him to pay $8,051 in restitution. Buker said she expected Lopez would be deported after his prison sentence.
Lopez pleaded guilty in October to felony hit-and-run resulting in death. In exchange, charges of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle, causing death while driving with a revoked license and domestic battery were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
After the crash, passersby tended to Griffith while a witness followed Lopez as he drove east, southeast, north, west, down a dead end, exited his vehicle, got into a second vehicle and later a third vehicle, Buker said. Police arrested Lopez, who said he left the scene because he was scared.
Lopez was not intoxicated or impaired; it was his character that led him to run, Buker said. He previously had been convicted of hitting an occupied vehicle and fleeing the scene.
“He had the opportunity to learn that we have laws against speeding and hitting other vehicles and running away,” she said. “Mr. Miguel Lopez thinks that what he wants matters, and the rights and the safety of others don’t matter.”
Griffith, 45, Janesville, died about a month after the crash.
Lopez said through a translator Wednesday that
