i am looking at a motorbike on ebay.. its in pretty good nic, just no MOT or tax. The Bike is located near cardiff, south wales, and i lve in bristol, about 40 mins drive. i was just wondering, if i booked an MOT in bristol, would i be covered to ride then bike from cardiff to bristol?

According to the numbers done on a survey I read (sorry couldn’t find it again or I’d a posted a link) The majority of riders in the U.S. are white males. When you see someone riding that is not a white male that trips the “gee that looks strange” part of your brain. Doesn’t make you racist, it makes you observant.

I just got it two days ago and today was the first real ride i got on it. I was riding along ok but it seemed a bit sluggish… So i opened up the throttle but it just got worse and it was like i opened up the choke. Can someone please help. I think it is flooding of the engine.. How do i stop this? Thanks, James

In India it is compulsory.

On a cbt, 125cc limited to 14.6bhp but the bhp rule isn’t really enforced so most people ignore it and run around on full power (25-30bhp) 2 strokes.
If you take your full test you can ride any cc bike you want but by law it must be 33bhp or less for 2 years. If the bike is already under 33bhp, thats fine. If not restrictor washers are supposed to be fitted to limit the power. But again, it is very rarely enforced so most people ignore the 2 year rule and ride full power right from passing their test.

I used to ride motorbikes back in my country. But in US I have not yet. If I want to practice riding a motor bike here, do I need learners license first?
If yes – what kind of tests will the dmv take?
If no – after I practice, and go the dmv, what kind of tests will the dmv take?
State is California. I am above 21 and have a valid Car license.

3 points on licence plus a fine. Fine determined by court on your ability to pay or £60 if done by fixed penalty. The length of time it has expired is irrelevant 1 day is still as expired as 10 years.
Some may say you will get done for no insurance as no MOT means no insurance – this is WRONG – with no MOT you still have minimum 3rd party cover even if you have paid for fully comp.
