so many good things to say about riding a motorcycle/scooter
BUT sad to say
those where the days my frind i wished the would never end
due to my health and for the safety of other road users i do not ride motor cycles any more
i can ride them but deem it as unsuitable for me and dangerous to do so for others
i was a qualified instructor and one of the first qualified examiners for part one training ( VOLUNTARY with Cleveland County Council )
i miss this and wish/dream of riding again BUT AAAH!
well any lets carry on otherwise i could go on forever about MYLOVE of MOTORCYCLING
all you have to remember is
it is no matter how could a rider or driver you are
WATCH OUT FOR THE OTHER IDIOTS ON THE ROAD
a VEHICLE is only as DANGEROUS as the PERSON in control of IT
so have a great time and long life of riding

And I don’t want any answers saying ‘An empty parking lot’!!
I know I need a CBT.

Mainly for protection…leather is very tough, stronger than most other clothing materials….bike leathers will have extra padding on the knees and elbows, which works quite well with leather, but looks pretty stupid with other materials!
Also leather is warm, and obvioulsy even in hot weather, on a bike you are very exposed, and its easy to get cold.
Also now wearing leather has become synonymous with ‘bikers’ – no self respecting biker will be without a set of leathers!!

for U.K you have to have a provisional licence and have completed Compulsory Basic Training. You can then ride a 125cc or lower with a maximum output of 12bhp.

Just got one and I have absloutley no idea on how to ride it or the machinery of it .
1-Can I keep going on first gear ?people say this will harm the motor .
2-How do I know when to shift to the second gear ?There is no light or something that says “shift to the second now ”
3-How come it is too hard to shift gears like that ?I have to press gas and unpress the other thing .It is too hard .It is so different than Bumper Cars

i want to get a 50cc dirtbike instead of a 50cc moped but all i can find is childrens bikes.
would it be possible to ride these bikes on the road or would i have to stick to fields?

u have to be 16 to ride anythin up to 50cc but u have to do a cbt. A 50cc will get u up to around 30mph if not deristricted. when 17 with a cbt u can ride a 125cc wich tend to hav gears and are quicker, about 70-80 mph. u can also take a test to ride bigger bikes and that means u can take a passenger and have no L plates.
