I am 17 years old and have found that I dont really have enough money to pass my driving test, get a car and insure it. I need to be able to get around and I think a motorbike or moped would be best for me. I have a provisional driving license, but am not sure if this also covers motorcycles, does it?
Also what kind of bikes can I legally ride at 17 and what tests do I need to do? Rough prices if anyone knows too.

Do you lose the abilty to get your liccnese at all? Im not consurned with the money just the penalty.

ok. i’m 16. have ‘intermediate’ drivers license.. (same as full, except can’t drive 12:30-5am)
i’ve read that you have to be at least 16 yrs to get license, but if under 18 have to take mototrycle safety course at approved place..
so technically, i can get it???
cause someone at my school was absolutely convinced you had to be 18 period to even think about getting you license for motorcycles…
can anyone help me out? remember i’m in Iowa…

Hi. I’m turning 18 in under a month and have been around motorcycles all of my life. I’ve used a mini bike and dirt bike until i was sixteen until my dad got a cross bike. Sure it’s fun to ride off road, but I’m itching for more. I’ve tried everything! I’ve tried the whole “gas is out of control” act, and just today I received an unprovoked compliment on how I drive my car. I’m resorting to flat out begging her to give me permition. Oh yea, my dad is playing the “ask your mother,” card as usual. He’s ok with it, but won’t undermine her concern with my safety. Are there any tactics that I haven’t used yet to convince her?

I used to ride motorbikes back in my country. But in US I have not yet. If I want to practice riding a motor bike here, do I need learners license first?
If yes – what kind of tests will the dmv take?
If no – after I practice, and go the dmv, what kind of tests will the dmv take?
State is California. I am above 21 and have a valid Car license.

I am 18, already have my regular Class C license, and I want to get a motorcycle for college. I live in Plano Texas. I’m trying to figure out what are my steps in getting my bike license. I know I need to take a written test and a safety course, but I’m having trouble finding a place to take both locally. Also, I’m going to pay for insurance myself so if anyone has a good quote for an 18 year old female then let me know. And I heard that I would need to register the bike or something. Not sure what that means because I haven’t purchased a vehicle before. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I had just bought a motorcycle – I know how to ride but hadn’t gotten my license. I had bought the night before and was just test driving on a small 30mph road right next to where I was keeping it before I got the safety inspection on it to see if there was anything I needed to fix first. I was going to register get my license insurance the whole deal that day. But I got pulled over on my quick ride 200 ft away from where I was going to park it and got cited for no insurance, registration, license and they impounded it. What are my options any chance of getting it dropped? – I have it registered now and will have license and insurance before I go to court

how old do i need to be to get full motorbike licese??
and what do i have to do to get it??
