My motorbike has one of those dealer paper plates- the dealer was suppose to register my bike but there was an issue with the vin number …..today is the day the piece of paper expires “09-07-09″ is it still legal to ride the bike today?

They could get 60 mpg doing 90 mph laps o the Isle of Man TT with petrol bikes 40 years ago.

Depending on the dealership, up to 30% markup on the item. They won’t sell it to you for what they paid, they have to make a living and pay the bills too. But you can work from the list price down.
Cash in hand is worth more than anything. Just tell them you are looking at buying a bike for cash and you are going to each dealer to see what it the best deal you can get, can they put together a written quote for you.
If they have the bike you want, then call them back in a few days and tell them you like the model they have, would they knock a couple hundred more off the price to match the “Other guys” price down the road. You will be supprised that they will accomidate you nicely.
If you have to get a loan for something, you let them know you maybe can’t afford it up front. If you say “Cash” that removes all doubt…..
Most people have no idea how much power the word “Cash” has, and those that do, get the best deals.
DON’T dance around saying “Wow! I really need this bike!”, that lets the salesperson know they have a fish on the line…with cash in hand. A “Poker Face” doesn’t just apply to playing cards….act as if you don’t need the bike, and they start to dance!
They will trip over each other to accomidate you!

I have taken the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course, and since I was going to do some browsing around in some dealerships, I was wondering if anyone here with experience could tell me if the dealers would allow me to test ride the motorcycle. Most probably a Kawasaki Ninja 650r, but nothing more serious. MSRP of that bike is 6.5K.
What do you think?

My business wants to expand into selling dirtbikes, butin oreder to become a dealer with certain brands they said we have to become a registered motorbike dealer, how do i do this? how does it work? cheers
