Type in motorbike maintanance advice for begineers on the yahoo search engine

I want a motorcycle but have never had one before. what is a good one to start with that looks cool and can go a fair amount of speed?

I’m looking for a cheap bike, in cost and insurance to learn how ride on.
Where do i start?

I am 16 and I’ve never ridden before. I’m 5′6 and 104lbs.I plan on taking the local motorcycle safety and instruction class. What would be the best all-around beginner’s sport motorcycle to buy. I am looking at nothing over 7500.

I’m taking the course in two days (tomorrow and Sunday 8AM-5PM both days). I was wondering if there is anything that I need to pay particular attention to or practice specifically. I understand the value of the class and will pay attention regardless (I’m a Marine I HAVE to follow directions) so don’t preach to me about how the whole course can save my life and it’s all important blah blah blah. I’m looking for things that I need to hone in on specifically that will not only help me with the course/test but also in riding situations. Thanks in advance.

I just finished the motorcycle safety class and got my license to ride motorcycle. I am currently looking into buying a motorcycle. I would like something small (around 250 cc) so that I can handle it easily. What do you think is a good motorcycle for beginners? I am 5′ 3” and 120 lb. Any help is appreciated. Also, I would appreciate it if you mention your experience with motorcycle (i.e. how long you been riding? what type of motorcycle do you ride?). Thanks.

I’m getting a sportbike this summer, and just want some opinions on if people found the beginners safety course worth while or if I could just learn on my own. I’ve ridden atv’s and smaller bikes all my life, so I’m experienced to some extent.
