Motorbike Insureance On A Restricted 600cc Bike For 17 Year Old?

Well basically the story is, i’ve got a 600cc motorbike in my back garden which i really like but don’t want to sell.
so what i’m thinking to do is to restrict it to a 125cc bike, now i know that it will ruin the bike over time but i honestly don’t mind that. But the other thing i want to know is that how much would it cost on insurance for a 17 year old, if they would insure someone on that type of motorbike
I Live in London BTW

Is It Possible To Learn To Ride A 600cc Motorbike And Get A Full?

licence in 7 days in the UK

I’m 16. How Do I Progress On To A 600cc Motorbike?

I’m currently 16 years old, and live in the UK.
I have passed my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) and got my Provisional License.
I would like to know how i’d progress onto, say a 600cc Bike when i’m 17.
I understand I need to gain my Full Bike License, however it’s all very confusing. Could someone please explain, in detail, how I progress through the different stages.
Thanks! :)

How Do I Pull A Wheelie On Me New 600cc Motorbike??

Holy crap! I’m glad I didn’t listen to some of you when I learned how to wheelie. Any modern 600cc sportbike with at least 70hp will wheelie in with just the throttle in 1st gear.
There are two kinds of wheelies: power wheelies and clutched wheelies. A power wheelie uses the bike’s motor to get the front wheel up. You get the revs up near the bike’s torque peak and goose the throttle to snap the front end up. In 1st gear, roll the rpm up higher (5k-6k), then chop the gas and snap it on again. Chopping the throttle will cause the front end to dive for an instant, and the rebounding of the fork will help the front end come up when you snap the throttle back on. On a 600, you almost have to open the throttle all the way to the stop to get the front end up under power.
I prefer clutched wheelies; the front comes up quicker and you’re lower in the rev range when you bring the front end up, so you’re not going as fast and you’ve got more time to find the balance point before you hit the rev limiter. I only do clutch wheelies in 2nd or 3rd gear. 1st is waaaay too twitchy and comes up faster than you’d expect. For a clutched wheelie, I’ll pull the clutch in, just enough to cause the rpm to rise up to the torque peak (anywhere from 8k-10k), and then let it out quickly. I’m pulling the clutch in just slightly, just into the friction zone. The revs rise (12k+) for a split second, and then I drop the clutch–don’t ease it out–and back off the throttle incrementally as the front end comes up. The higher the front wheel goes the less throttle is needed to keep it up. Backing off keeps the bike from going over.
And yes you can brake while in a wheelie. That’s why you cover your rear brake. I keep my right foot on it just enough that if I start to go over, I tap the brake and back to earth on the front tire.
Steering.Yup you can do that too. It’s fecking hard to do but leaning will change your direction.

Suggestions For A 600cc Crotch Rocket?

Hey all,
I am a 6′3″ 195 lb male look suzuki ing for a used (2000-2003) crotch rocket. I have been riding for a year on a bandit (400cc), and have taken the motorcycle safety course. I’m looking for the bike that will last me until I can afford to buy a bike that’s new.
I will be using this bike somewhat for commuting, but rarely will I be on it for more than an hour. I would say the two most important things to me are a quick acceleration and something that feels very agile. I don’t really care about top speed…
So far I am considering a YZF-R6, and a CBR600 F4 – Any one have any opinions of these bikes, or perhaps something else?

Should I Get A 600cc Bike?

I realize a 600cc bike is not the smartest first bike to get as a beginner biker. I realize it’s a VERY fast bike. but I simply really like the way the honda cbr 600RR looks and feels when I sit on it. I don’t like any others.
I don’t plan on goin fast on it, nor do I plan on doing any stunts. I will be taking a motorcycle safety class soon (not with a 600cc bike). would it be enough? opinions please!

Motorbike – Is The Physical Size Of A 125cc Motorbike Smaller Than (for Example) A 600cc?

I’m taking my CBT and want to buy a 125 to get some practise but am worried I’ll look silly if the bike is physically small. Not too bothered about the speed, I drive too fast in a car so figure a 125 is good for me!

If You Could Pick, Would You Have 600cc Or 1000cc Motorbike?

I’ve been riding 600cc for a few years and have never tried the 1000cc so im quite curious as to the difference. It is worth changing to a 1000cc for more power, but then do you lose handling ability due to the heavier bike. I’d love to know if you’ve had both which is the one to go for.
