Suzuki GSX-R600 – has nice feel to it when riding. The position and whatnot is comfortable.
Honda CBR600RR – not as fast but the seat is very comfortable. Most people either get the Honda or Suzuki as their first bike. Since it is not bulky. Suzuki is a bit smaller.
Yamaha FZ6R – This motorbike is fairly new. It’s is a light bike. Yamaha claims this is a very good beginner motorbike.
and you can also consider…
Yamaha YZF-R6
Kawasaki 250R
Kawasaki ZZR600
Kawasaki ZX-6R
Kawasaki are good for speed if you are considering into that. but the feel of it is a bit stiff.
Other then that those are the list of non-bulky motorbikes.

Ducati are expensive
Hayabusa are HUGE
Women can ride any bike, the thing is to find a bike that you feel comfortable on, my wife likes a cruiser model, Yamaha Vstar, the important thing is to get a bike, you can pick up if it falls over, and get a bike you are comfortable with the power.
Sports bikes with the same size engines as a cruise have considerably more power, dangerous amounts of power and if you are not comfortable with this you can get yourself in trouble quickly.
Large Crusiers like the harleys can weight a lot, if you tip over, and can’t get it up yourself then you could be in a dangerous situation.
Go to your local deal, they will have demo days you can try some different bikes, get a feel for that you like.
If it is your first bike start small, and build up.
Also call your insurance company to get a idea of a rate, Sports bikes can be as much as 300% more to insurer than non sport models.
Ducatis are nice bikes, but they have a lot of power and should only be ridden by someone with experience.
Your size should dictate which bike to get.
You have to be able to balance the bike while stopped in traffic. Best if you can sit and put both feet flat on the ground. With a seat too high, you will only be able to put one foot on the ground. You may be forced to lean the bike to the side and can easily lose your balance and drop the bike. This could be dangerous in traffic. At the very least, it will be embarrassing. This could also be a problem when you take your motorcycle license road test.
There are lowering kits available for some bikes, but these can cause problems. They change the suspension geometry and can cause handling problems. The reduced ground clearance can cause the bike to drag the pavement in corners, which can cause loss of control. The lower suspension can cause the tire to rub the fender. The kick stand will need to be altered. You can also lower the seat height a little bit by shaving some of the cushion from the seat. However, this can cause comfort issues, especially on longer rides.
In general, Sport Bikes have some of the highest seat heights. This is so they have the ground clearance to lean far into a corner. Sport Bikes are a bad choice for someone with short legs.
In general, Cruisers have the lowest seat heights. A good choice for someone with short legs. Some people may say that cruisers are too heavy. What they don’t consider is that they have the lowest center of gravity of all street bikes. This low center of gravity along with the low seat height makes them easiest to balance while stopped at an intersection.
hi im a women and ive had lots of bikes the on ive just go it a kawasaki en450 mint bike easy to ride nice and quick ive Always had low riders think the sports bikes are for the big boys lol ill attach a photo of mine??? go to a few show room and sit on a few see what feels right for you good look in your biking xx
Harley Davidson Sportster bikes are smaller bikes– With enough weight to handle freeway driving even!
Best advice is to sit on it, if it’s comfortable, try taking it for a short ride. If it’s still comfortable, buy it!
My husband says, avoid drum brakes at all costs! They are more likely to fail than disk brakes.
my boyfriends got a suzuki bandit 600, its not that heavy and its great to manovre, i prefered his honda varadero but its not that great a street bike, but definately one of the more comfy bikes when it comes to “those areas”! haha! x
either a Kawasaki Ninja 250cc or the Honda Rebel 250cc both are excellent choice’s for a first time rider with no experiance ,if your an experianced dirt bike rider looking at street then the Kantana or the Suzuki SV650 both are nice bikes

Any kind – go and have a look in a motorcycle show room and pick one that you like the look and feel of.
You should buy a dirt bike, change its tires and use it as a street (Asphalt) one. Because dirt bikes are slim and sexy.
Ducati. The seat height is low and the bike isn’t bulky.
Yamaha R6
Hayabusa
