How Do I Import A Motorbike From Teh Usa To The Uk?

What will it cost in terms of duty , tax VAT etc ?
Any body out there who has already done it ?

    Your VAT is usually .21% of the total value of the item you are importing.
    Duty is usually about 6 pounds per 1000 pounds (trying to do some conversions and it may not work outwell in my head!).

    first of all contact the customs office and ask them… it will cost u additonal 1000$ and the conversion price also

    Dont bother. sell ya usa bike and buy the uk model.. usa bikes are jetted differently and many have totaly useless carbs and emission systems that dont work well here.

    There are specialist importers, some will find a classic second hand vehicle and do all the work for you. Doing it by self is beyond me. You will find advice on the Customs/Excise website.
